LIFE LINES will promote the online Workshop Innovative Solution for the Reduction of Bird Mortality in Medium Voltage Power Lines: the Eco Esteira Horizontal, on the 28th of April, from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
The present event intends to disclose an innovative solution for the reduction of mortality by collision and electrocution of birds in medium voltage electric lines, the Eco Esteira Horizontal, based on the experience acquired in its implementation in the scope of the project. This Workshop results from the collaboration between the University of Évora, QUERCUS and E-REDES.
The program will include the introduction to the LIFE LINES Project by António Mira from the University of Évora; the general problem of power lines in Portugal by Samuel Infante from QUERCUS; bird protocols and the need to innovate in the search for a solution: Eco Esteira by Carlos Rochinha from E-REDES; and monitoring and evaluating its effectiveness in bird mortality by Paulo Alves from QUERCUS.
