The LIFE LINES project, through its manager Nuno Pedroso, was present at the event “The future of the LIFE program – Which are your expectations?” . The event took place in Brussels on 6th and 7th November 2019. Here we discussed what might become the future of LIFE program, which is the main funding program for conservation and environment projects at European level.
This event, organized by the European Commission, was attended by over 100 participants, and included discussion panels and workshops that addressed issues such as the future functioning of the LIFE subprograms, or collected input from various stakeholders on technical and administrative issues and solutions concerning the future operation of the LIFE program (see program here for details).
LIFE Program contributes to sustainable development and the achievement of the objectives and targets of the European Strategy 2020, the 7th Environment Action Program and other relevant EU environment and climate strategies and plans. The LIFE Program is the financier of the LIFE LINES project (60% co-financing).
