The LIFE LINES Project has been presented to classes from some of the schools in its study area, but this time the invitation came from the Sebastião da Gama Secondary School in Setúbal. We readily accepted the challenge, once the problem of the impact of linear infrastructures on biodiversity is a transversal issue along the country. So, on January 13th, we went to this school to present the Project and explain the importance of preserving Biodiversity. In a more detailed way the case of amphibians was presented, and in the end students were able to observe some of the species that also occur in their area. These students from an 8th grade class were interested and participative, asking several questions about the Project, about the species and about the problems that Biodiversity faces.
Thanks for the invitation!
