Filipa Lopes

Veterinary surgeon by Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Lisbon (FMV-UL). Clinical Director of CERAS (Centro de Estudos e Recuperação de Animais Selvagens de Castelo Branco) and CRASSA (Centro de Recuperação de Animais Selvagens de Santo André). She is collaborating with Quercus (National Association for Nature Conservation) in all projects of the Castelo Branco Regional Center, including the Power Lines and Avifauna and LIFE LINES projects. As part of the LIFE LINES Project, she participates in the field work of power line prospecting, namely by promoting the collaboration of volunteers in the project, and performs the forensic necropsies of the carcasses.

Paulo Alves

Degree in Biology by the University of Évora and MSc in Management and Conservation of Natural Resources by from the University of Évora and Instituto Superior de Agronomia of Lisbon. Fellowship researcher at Unit of Biology Conservation (Department of Biology, University of Évora) linked to the MOVE project. Collaborator of the Castelo Branco Regional Nucleus of QUERCUS in the Power Lines and Avifauna project, CERAS (Centro de Estudos e recuperação de Animais Selvagens) and Monte Barata, currently collaborates in the LIFE LINES project and he is responsible for the field work of prospection and monitoring of power lines, where will be implemented a new structure that aims to reduce avifauna mortality caused by collision and electrocution with medium voltage power lines.
