These terms and conditions, and privacy policy are intended to regulate access to and use of the LIFE LINES Application, as well as the features associated with it.
LIFELINES APPLICATION OBJECTIVE:
The LIFE LINES APP (LIFE LINES) has as its function the registration of road kill animals which after validation by the LIFE LINES project team will integrate a national database of road kill animals. These data will be used for scientific purposes, such as modeling data to implement measures to reduce fauna mortality and promoting the creation of a Green Infrastructure to support the increase and conservation of biodiversity. In addition, their contribution could also safeguard road safety as it will contribute to the identification of wildlife mortality hotspots.
INFORMATION COLLECTED:
The use of APP LINES LINES implies the creation of an account (Name and email for login). This personal information is collected and processed when the user downloads and accesses the application and is collected solely for the purpose of eventual confirmation and login. In addition to personal data, when recording an observation (animal road kill), this operation implies that it will send a geographical location of the record, as well as a photograph that will validate the information sent. By doing so, you agree that your data will be part of the National Fauna Road Kills Database and may be used and processed for scientific purposes.
CONFIDENTIALITY OF INFORMATION:
With the installation of APP LIFE LINES will be requested the following personal data: name and e-mail. The provision of personal data is a prerequisite for the use of APP LIFE LINES. The information you make available will be treated in confidence, in compliance with current legislation on the protection of personal data of APP users, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union. Personal data will not be made available to third parties, being under the supervision of the project that will keep them in an autonomous system, reporting immediately any leakage that may occur. If you are resident in the European Economic Area and feel that your personal data are in any way not meeting the RGPDUE assumptions, or if you have any questions regarding this matter, you may contact the Data Protection Officer of the University of Évora through epd@uevora.pt.
DELETE ACCOUNT
You can delete your account at any time. If you wish to do so we will delete it as soon as possible. You may also request the updating or destruction of the records made by you, as long as they are not already processed and compromise the investigation and may be irreversibly anonymized.
WARNINGS:
Installing use of this application implies that you agree to the terms and conditions of the application. In case you do not agree, please do not access or use this application. By accessing and using APP LIFE LINES means that you have read and understood its conditions. Use this application responsibly. If you drive, do not use your mobile phone and stop safely to make your records. The LIFE LINES project team is not responsible for any risky user behavior, or for personal injury or damage to third parties.
